“Quintessential” Is a dynamic Jazz Quintet created by award winning Trombonist Karl Silveira featuring a unique instrumentation and some Canada’s finest Jazz musicians.
For this exclusive performance at The Jazz Room, Silveira leads “Quintessential,“ a powerhouse ensemble assembled to deliver a masterclass in modern acoustic jazz. Inspired by the great Pepper Adams/Curtis Fuller Quintet, This ensemble pushes the limits of this unique instrumentation with a wide dynamic range of repertoire with music by Benny Golson, Curtis Fuller, Wayne Shorter, Duke Jordan, Miles Davis and Oscar Pettiford.
“Quintessential” promises an evening of compelling original writing and refined ensemble interplay, capturing the very best of the contemporary Canadian jazz landscape.
